If a private company cannot use eminent domain, then there will never be a factory or manufacturing plant ever built again. Oh sure, they can be built in the middle of the Mojave desert (if the environmental wacko don’t stop it), but factories need to be where the people are to get employees. I’m not for companies being able to roll over individuals, but there has to be a compromise, using common sense. Especially if we really want jobs and companies to come back to the US. If we’re happy with becoming a 3rd world country, then we should make it as difficult as possible for companies.

I think the majority of car assembly plants built in the south in recent years used eminent domain. These have helped transform many areas of the south for the better. If factories return they won't be built in the north but in the employer friendly south.
