In those days voter registration lists were used to decide who should be on Jury Duty.
Many people refused to register to vote because they did not want to be called for Jury duty.

Worked like a charm in New Jersey a few years back. Factor in the dem control of the voting machines and the plan, if successful, should send the country down the commode for another 8 years. At the end of that time, there won’t be enough of the constitution left to clean a monocle. Then the fruited plain will be rotted enough for the socialist cockroaches to digest at leisure.

Rich men would be arrested on some charge and given a jury trial. The jury often consisted of one thousand jurors.
The rich man would be found GUILTY and fined his riches, making him a poor man.
The JURY then split up the fine between them.
Needless to say, no rich men were ever found innocent.

I have not seen this film since it was released in 1965 and checked out the DVD Blue-Ray edition at my local library. The film is a good resource for those that want a little glimpse of what the Left has in store for the U.S.
