The number one thing preventing Mexico from being a first world country with a flourishing economy is political corruption. So shut up Calderon, until you and the rest of the Mexican political hierarchy clean up your own mess. If you can’t provide opportunity for your own people, in a country with your land mass and natural resources (not to mention all the talented, industrious, and smart citizens you have), then maybe its time to clean house on your corrupt fellow politicians.
Absolutely. Mexico should be a rich country with a thriving middle class and opportunity for all. It could be so prosperous that Americans could be going there for opportunity!
Instead it’s a corrupt banana republic.
I know we’re not perfect but it makes me angry to be criticized by countries as messed up as Mexico.

Unfortunately, they ARE cleaning up a large portion of their mess by sending it north across the border. Our country is just stupid enough to allow that mess to come here in order to exploit cheap labor.
