When a corporation builds a casino, they are doing so for the private benefit of their shareholders. No matter how big the corporation is, the casino still only benefits their shareholders. That’s why the Kelo decision is so wrongheaded. Politically connected developers get to use the heavy hand of eminent domain for their own private benefit. And it’s wrong when football and baseball owners get the benefit of it and it’s wrong when Trump gets the benefit of it.
I don’t see it that way.
We all want to attend football and baseball games and cities benefit from the stadiums being in close proximity.
Having the team move 75 miles outside the city so it can find clear land, it not realistic.
