It's stuff like this that makes it hard to keep pulling for Ted as my #2. Instead of half truths, innuendo and speculation about the other guy, why doesn't he stick to what he has accomplished and what he intends to do to make America great? And don't say build the wall, Mr. Trump already has that market cornered.
I think Ted knows what we do. He has very little choice but to try to knock the other guy off.
What has he accomplished? There’s nothing to point to. Yes I know he argued nine cases before the SCOTUS and won two of them outright, but is that going to convince folks he’s presidential material? I don’t think so.
His goals, even if stated first, weren’t stated loudly enough for folks to realize Trump didn’t say them first.
Everything comes off sounding like “Me too Ted”, and that isn’t a winning situation for him.
I know this sounds like ripping Ted to his supporters, but in truth it’s just a reasoned analysis of his situation.
It isn’t good.
Any candidate gets two kinds of voters — those who vote for you because they’re for you and those who vote for you because they’re against the other person.
Cruz regularly presents his vision, his plans, his principles, his ideas. He also presents himself as the not-Trump candidate for those who simply want to vote against The Don.
The argument is simple: “If you don’t want Trump to be the nominee, come to me. I’m the one candidate who could beat him.”
