I have never seen those professional beggars get violent, and I’m pretty sure they’re the same types we have in Houston. I give them money sometimes. My rule: If they’re just there I ignore them, if they come up and ask I give them some of the change out of my door pocket.
Cahuenga runs north and south across Hollywood Blvd, Sunset Blvd, etc. Lots of freaks and grifters in that area.
