I disagree, it is not a winning message. His message is a populist one which claims to be “winning” (similar to a Charlie Sheen rant) but lack substance.

HOW is he going to build the wall? How is he going to “win” all the time? How is he going to get rid of Obamacare? (To replace it with whatever universal healthcare he deems fit)

What is the point of winning if you have to sell out your principles to do so?

Why not just vote RAT just to say we won?

Of the things listed by Jim which are of Trump’s campaign, which are the ones you don’t agree with?

Jim - thanks for creating and operating Free Republic.

But you are 2000% wrong in your current view and plewis1250 is right.

I am gobsmacked that you feel the way you do. (Please note that I did not use the verb "think")

I think the wall is the simplest of matters

Ask yourself ... if you needed a labor force of healthy men ... where would you go ?

The money has been allocated for 15 years ... whether there or not ... it will be there when needed

And waddaya' need?

very low tech machinery, cement, rebar, block and a ton o'guys that want to earn a little money

I think Trump will bid the job out and many men will go to work for enough time for them to establish a nest egg.

CEMENT

CEMENT IN THE USA

Cruz is learning but he is not as strong as a candidate as he will be in the future.

Sadly, it appears the country isn’t interested in substance, just ear tickling platitudes that superficially sound tough

You seem to be a little bit confused. How will building the wall and getting rid of Obamacare "sell out your principles?"

Mexico must pay for the wall and, until they do, the United States will, among other things: impound all remittance payments derived from illegal wages; increase fees on all temporary visas issued to Mexican CEOs and diplomats (and if necessary cancel them); increase fees on all border crossing cards - of which we issue about 1 million to Mexican nationals each year (a major source of visa overstays); increase fees on all NAFTA worker visas from Mexico (another major source of overstays); and increase fees at ports of entry to the United States from Mexico [Tariffs and foreign aid cuts are also options]

"HOW is he going to build the wall?"

He cajoled the liberal MSM to fund his campaign and you doubt he can get Mexico to build the fence? Please pay attention!

“HOW is he going to build the wall?”

Well, Trump is a builder, but I would think that it goes something like this:

1. Sends over and gets blueprints for a section of the Israeli wall for comparison purposes.

2. Authorizes, through his own contacts, engineers to draw up plans.

3. Sends out survey parties

4. Authorizes panel of experts to draw up logistics

5. Open bids for a contract

6. Selects a builder

7. Authorizes them to begin construction

8. Americans on the border will greet builders with milk and cookies.

Trump is the only real difference in this election. Cruz and Rubio are being cast as insurgents but they’re not. They’re two junior senators who are already up to their eyeballs in donor debt.

The only insurgent is Trump, the only one who has the business experience to fix our economy is Trump, and the only one with the cajones to fix this country is Trump.
