Possibly but ... not totally sure of the statistics, but I understand the NH winner almost never gets the nomination.
I think the GOPe was very hot for Rubio but that ship seems to have not only sailed but disappeared over the horizon.
So we’ll have to see what they do next.
I have no doubt at all that the GOPe would much rather have Trump than Cruz. They know they can ‘work with him.’

Then why hasn’t it been used and publicized? Trump’s life is open book and has been for over 40 years. If there is anything to these charges they would have been used against him a long time ago.

If they opposed the OPEN BORDERS policies of every GOP candidate (other than Trump), then yes.
If Trump has so many negatives why are his rally crowds 100x over any other republican?? Why did he blow out NH?? Why did he get one less delegate than Cruz in IA while spending 10% of what Ted did??

Great question. Most people know him as the guy on TV, they aren’t familiar with the strip clubs womanizing that makes BJ Clinton look like a piker (minus the violence).
He also benefits from massive free publicity on the news networks. Contrast the coverage of Cruz after Iowa, well there wasn’t much, most was on Rubio, OTOH Trump was on every Fox show from this am to 8 tonight minus 1.
His free TV goes into the hundred of millions. Most of it of the fawning variety.
He is a very good salesman if shallow politically.
