She had pepper spray, but he took it away from her. Probably would’ve taken a knife away from her as well, easily. Only a gun and proper training would’ve saved her in that circumstance (walking home from a nightclub at 5:00 am).
That's the other half of being armed - being willing to use it in time. We have to do a better job of raising our children, so they are ready and willing to defend themselves, and they will not just count on other people to be decent or maybe harmless.
