Reason simple: Ted Cruz draws supporters & voters only in the likeness and fashion of Glenn Beck, a raving, lunatic, ego-maniac, nutcase!!! Truth is, he appeals to only a very limited number of extreme so-called, conservative followers!!! Trump simply attracts supporters and voters from across the entire USA spectrum of politics!! Cruz’s wife is fair game because she has actively gotten involved in fund raising for the campaign. She even has her own campaign staff, chaired, I believe, by a friend from her G-S days.
I really think that the only reason some of you are voting for Trump is because One Direction is not running.

Reminds me of Newt in 2012, “I’m going to be nominee; the next President of the United States.” (Don’t recall if this was said before or right after the SC primary.)
I do not think he would choose someone like his sister for SCOTUS or someone with her viewpoints. When he has chosen advisors it is Sessions, or his conservative business acquaintances.
Trump is interested in free market approaches, a budget surplus and decreasing Government bureaucracy. He wants to get people back to work and see that the Vets and military are well treated. I don’t see him selecting someone who is not aligned with those principles.
