The Coastal Commission is the epitome of unelected unaccountable government bureaucrats.
Some friends of mine had a restaurant on the waterfront in Morro Bay they sold. They then decided to develop their other property above the restaurant and turn it into high-end motel rooms.
Dealing with the Coastal Commission was not pleasant and from what I gathered, the people on the Commission were incredibly arrogant.
