What Trump claims he did and what he actually did are rarely the same thing. The city condemned her property and were only going to pay her $251,000, not the million Trump claimed he waswilling to offer. If Trump did make the offer you claim, surely he can provide a copy of the offer. In reality, Trump never made the offer he claims.
My great great grandparents owned a house and property where the beginning ( or end, depending on which way one is going ) would be best placed. They were offered and took a VERY good price and every time I see or am on that bridge, I feel that it is MINE and am very proud to have an historical edifice to remind me of my family's place in NYC's history.

Trump didn’t go up against her in court. It was her versus the city of Atlantic City. The state was taking her property, not Trump. Trump or another buyer would have had to buy it from the city to get title to it.
