So include all of what Heidi said, at least all of what was reported. She added: “And I think thatâs something that this country really needs to be reminded of, is that Christians are loving people, are nonjudgmental people, but there is right and wrong, we have a country of law and order, there are consequences to actions and we must all live peaceably in our own faiths under the Constitution. And Ted is uniquely able to deliver on that combination of the law and religion.”
What the heck does she mean by that last sentence?
Dominionism, Pentacostal Dominionism.
Who cares? We don’t need to obsessively parse every word of what a candidate’s wife says in an off-the-cuff statement.
Does anyone yet know what Trump means by the “good” illegals or how many he’s going to let back in through the “expedited” return process he’s mentioned?
TPM left that part out so I had no idea she added that part.
Someone who is Christian and understands the Constitution IS uniquely able to support the Judeo-Christian foundation of this nation without wandering into theocracy, which is what you KNOW the leftists (and some “Christians” here) are going to accuse a candidate of, unless they totally forsake that Judeo-Christian worldview.
Cruz, for instance, has said that we should accept CHRISTIAN refugees from Syria but not Muslim ones. He says that from a Constitutional understanding that immigration CAN be regulated on the basis of security issues, and he argues not that Christians should be let in because we are a Christian nation but because Christians have not exhibited the same dangers as Muslims have. So he is uniquely able to navigate the accusations of being a theocrat or un-Constitutional.
Except here on FR. He will never be able to navigate it here, because on FR people don’t care to talk in a reasoned way. They just want to make a sucker-punch for whoever will listen. Sad.
It might be better if Heidi just manned the phones for money. :-)
