Yeah politically stupid to say.
While true, Ted should try a softer touch. He’s going to needs these squished to beat the rat in the general.
Well if you barely beat Yeb out for third you would be looking for an excuse too. LOL!
Geez.. Cruz support lives in wonderland. Trump won the vote of those self-indentifying as conservative. Get what that means? Even in a purely 100% conservative environment . . Trump wins. Sorry.
By his own words in the Kelly interview Cruz is implying that conservative Trump voters support partial birth abortion. He’s hit bottom and is still digging. Pathetic.
“Talk is cheap. What does Donaldâs political record tell us?”
I’ll let you know a year from now.
Cruz spent nearly a year in Iowa and Trump came in a very close, and who knows how many votes Ted's dirty tricks took away from him? Consistency.
And then there is this: Trump would have a much more difficult time in the general than Ted Cruz...
Fallen far from “Live Free or Die!”, N.H. has.
Awesome!!!
“His plan bypasses the mushy middle by putting the Reagan Coaltion back together. His data says they are out there, and that is precisely who he is appealing to. So he is bypassing many of the traditional voters that the establishment candidates repeatedly go after.”
I see far more evidence that Trump is attracting Reagan democrats.
Ted is one arrogant guy. Let’s see him win an election with only his little slice of the world. Actually, I can’t wait until he loses the nomination and at the rate he is going I wouldn’t be upset if he lost his seat in 2018. The man is detestable and to think I was supporting him at the beginning of this election.
They are pretty much 1 for 1. They have both shown they can win. However, now we head to the Bible Belt, where I expect Ted Cruz to trounce Donald Trump, no matter what the polls say.
Hey Puny, you’re alive and well! That’s good...
Now, you have to realize that this forum brings out a unique group of folks with differing views of Conservatism.
I’m angry about Washington, the GOPe, and Obama as we all are, I hope! And, if my only issue was illegal immigration, I would also be in the Trump camp. However, there is more to the story with Cruz and Trump that makes me believe that Trump is a total wild card...for me, he could turn around and put NY liberals on the SCOTUS and push for single-payer healthcare. Since it was only a couple of years ago that he was donating to Democrats, I just can’t buy that Trump will fully support Conservative change, reduced size of government, etc, etc...too long to list...
I trust Ted Cruz because he has fought the GOPe as a Senator, has fought Obama, and has tried to keep his campaign promises (e.g. give every effort to repeal of Obamacare). Cruz campaigned in Iowa against federal ethanol subsidies, which took great political courage! In contrast, Rubio broke his original campaign promise regarding amnesty and joined forces with the Democrats...political expediency and Presidential aspirations!
With regard to illegal immigration and the “wall”, i believe that both Cruz and Trump will be strong on this issue...both will enforce the laws...
In the end, it really comes down to trust....I can’t get there with Trump, given his history....
Trump came out of the box swinging for the fences. It’s exactly what we need. Tough talk, tough action, and ass kicking. Cruz strategizes, Trump takes the hill in front of him.
Cruz is going to wipe the floor with Trump in the next several states. Let’s see how Trump handles it this time.
If Cruz had won NH he would be calling them the bestest christian conservatives ever. :-)
He can always go on up to Cruz Country in Calgary! :p
....”Cruz and his fan base feel that if you donât vote for him you are scum and God hates you”.....
No that’s not true.....but they do feel a responsibility before God to warn people regarding Trump.... just as they tried to do so when Obama’s voters got all caught up in his ‘whirlwind’.
There is no demographic that Trump did not own in New Hampshire. So when Cruz blames his loss on "liberals," he is a liar and knows it. The exit-poll data is available for anyone to see.
I don't know the exact number but Trump also split the Evangelicals with Cruz almost 50-50, though not quite. The face of God couldn't resist taking a swipe at Trump, when Trump congratulated Cruz very graciously for his win in Iowa.
