Cruz and his fan base feel that if you don’t vote for him you are scum and God hates you.
Reagan coalition is Trump's coalition. Cruz does not appeal outside of "very conservative" voters as seen in New Hampshire, which voter group he still lost to Trump.

Trump won every demographic, including conservatives.
While I will gladly give my vote to Mr. Cruz should the occasion arise, it really would be in his best interest to STOP INSULTING THE VOTERS !!

The statement is insulting and also makes no sense. Trump beat Cruz in all the demographics, not just evangelicals, but also the following:
31% of “very conservative” primary voters
52% of voters who said the most important issue is illegal immigration
44% of the Republican primary voters who said there should be a ban on Muslims coming to the U.S.
Those are Trump’s percentages in all of those groups, which he captured the most votes in. So by Ted Cruz’s own definition, literally everyone except for people who vote for him are liberals, no matter how conservative they actually are.
Trump’s entire political record is liberal and anti-conservative. What gives you the confidence he is going to stick to his promises?
Ted Cruz has the most solid conservative/pro-liberty VOTING RECORD (97%-100%) in the U.S. Senate. I have supreme confidence that as President he will carry out policies that I agree with 97% to 100% of the time.
What about Donald Trump’s Johnny come lately conversion from liberal to so-called conservative gives you so much confidence in him?
Cruz lost conservatives in New Hampshire. Cruz is losing conservatives even on FR's daily caucus, gaining only 37 percent to Trump's 60 percent here on this very website.
Cruz and his supporters have no respect for conservatives who disagree with their views.

Cruz LOST all those groups to Donald Trump. Cruz just got the leftovers. Who rallied for who?
He wanted as many votes as five hundred thousand dollars and spending the next least amount of days campaigning in NH could buy. And he STILL pulled third!
So what is the Marooon going to say when he loses South Carolina?

Sorry, not trying to be argumentative but Cruz really has very limited accomplishments as a first term senator.
He’s going to say it’s because it’s a Lindsey Graham RINO state. And when he loses Texas, he’s going to say it’s because it’s a George W. Bush RINO state. And when he loses the election entirely, he’s going to say that America is an Obama country.
Geez.. Cruz support lives in wonderland. Trump won the vote of those self-indentifying as conservative. Get what that means? Even in a purely 100% conservative environment . . Trump wins. Sorry.
We don’t think you are scum and we don’t think God hates you. We just think you are helplessly naive. If you think the republican establishment has disappointed you, wait until Trump returns to his New York Democrats roots once he’s rewarded the Presidency.
