He was very wrong in strongly supporting the reelection of Orin Hatch.

I agree he is good on many issues. However he treats many callers with great disrespect. In my opinion conservatives should aspire to be virtuous men and women, like many of the founding fathers. It is difficult to respect someone who delights in displaying boorish behavior. Those who cannot conduct themselves in a civil manner in public discourse only contribute to the erosion of the culture.

Mr. Levin and others aspiring to leadership should be raising standards, not wallowing in the mud.

I agree with both your points.

Mark Levin has bitterly condemned Orin Hatch for his betrayal of the promises Hatch made on Levin's show and Levin as even called him a liar. Levin says that's why he supported Hatch to Levin's sorrow.

I agree with you entirely concerning Levin's treatment of callers, it is disgraceful. He indulges in the worst habit of criticizing the caller after he has unilaterally terminated the conversation and the caller no longer has an opportunity to defend himself. He interrupts and cuts callers off whether he agrees with them or not because it seems that he wants to make himself appear infallible.

I understand Bill Bennett will soon be concluding his radio career but if there is anyone who knows how to handle callers it is Bill Bennett. Bennett is not the same kind of ideologue as is Levin, as a matter of fact he is an establishment Rino, but he knows how to deal decorously with callers and guests.

Levin ought to keep in mind that the callers he abuses are people whose telephone calls Levin has solicited.
