Donald Trump and Univision settled Thursday his $500 million lawsuit against the Spanish language media company for dropping his Miss Universe pageant after he complained about Mexican criminals illegally crossing the border into the United States.
The terms were not disclosed but both parties were all kissy-kissy Thursday despite his acrimonious breach of contract claim that accused Univision of bowing to pressure from part-owner and key Hillary Clinton donor Haim Saban to cut him loose.
But Trump said in a statement that, “I have known Univision’s President and CEO Randy Falco for more than 20 years and I’m glad we are able to put these differences behind us.â€
Falco was equally conciliatory. “I have known Donald Trump for many years in both a personal and professional capacity and we are pleased to settle this matter and move forward,†he said.
Trump will not be abused.
Seems like every Trump deal involves threats, bullying, name calling and lawsuits.
“Trump can go after the money of Mexican crooks such as their politicians, business cronies, and drug cartels, stashed in U.S. and other countries. If he wields U.S. financial clout, it is not hard to track them down. Then he can force them to cough up from their bank account, not from Mexican governments, money to build the wall, with no real loss to Mexican public in general. If they do not comply, he can make public the web of their corruption, and bring legal action against them.”

You may be right. Then again, Trump may delight you.
I agree and go just a bit further. As I’ve stated on many threads, yes his wall has many supporting it but does anyone believe for a nano second if he were to serve 8 years one inch of his wall would see the light of day?
1) Funding, Congress must appropriate the funds and specifically allocate them for this beautiful wall with a big beautiful door. Until that is done it’s a no go. For the kind of change needed to put in place the congress needed would take 4 years. 2 for House elections then 2-4 for some in the Senate. By then the public will again be fed up and give it back to the Dims.
2) Lets say enough public pressure is placed where Congress acquiesces, then you have years and years of liberal legal challenges across every border states that big beautiful wall must flow through and good luck ever getting California courts to cave. One year it’ll be a court challenge for this endangered species, the next a different one, then for something to do with racism. Every excuse in the book will be used and lodged legally.

Really? How much did he win? The article doesn’t disclose who “won” at all.
Really? Maybe Trump’s only successful demand was that Univision allow him to save face.
Congress has already appropriated the funding for the wall over and over again. My problem is with the great big beautiful door in it that lets all the deportees back in right away, with preferred status over non-deportees. And the fact that he’s going to negotiate these details with Nancy Pelosi for some reason.
My expectation is that a Trump presidency will lead to a Democratic supermajority in no time.
Trump is not only going to see the wall built, Mexico is getting the bill.
If we had not had p*****s running this country for the last quarter century who wouldn’t do their jobs, it would have been built by now.
Beginning this time next year, as far as border security goes, Trump is going to say “Lead, follow, get out of the way—or you’re fired.’

Sue them, force them to settle, everybody smiles.
If they had somehow beat Trump, they’d brag about it for sure.
Trump allowed them to stay in business, not out of generosity or heart, but because it was the deal he wanted.

Univision wants to cover the construction of The Wall.

Trump explains this as his Father Fred’s advise to “smooth out the lumps” that is why all the nice smiles and happy talk.
We need more happy talk. I’m all in for that.
Univision probably just funded Trump’s entire campaign. And they say he won’t get Mexico to pay for the wall!
Trump has never said "all", "right away" or "with preferred status over non-deportees". He has said some of the "really good ones" could come back at some point, but hasn't said who would qualify, how they would do so, how many, or how long it would take. Quit lying.
Terms were not disclosed. You have no idea if Trump got cash, or a better deal for his next reality show.
Some negotiator. All eyes are on him to see the yuge awesome deals he cuts, and he makes a secret deal.
