Nobody hired a ‘porn star’, they hired a legit actress who didn’t divulge her background. Apparently it took Trump to recognize her. Hats off to Donald for his familiarity with has-ben erotica performers. Or, maybe it was his wife who regognized her. Who knows? All we can say for sure is that it wasn’t Ted Cruz or anyone on his team.

Becoming a frequent excuse with the Cruz “team,”...”It’s always somebody else’s fault”. Raphael never takes responsibility for anything..typical politician.

Not everyone shares your fanatical obsession with identifying porn stars. I would have preferred Cruz to keep the add and talk about redemption. I’ll still support him.

He stated the framers’ intent at that moment in history in a Supreme Court decision. This was in 1875, a hundred years after the fact.

It was also a hundred years before the Soviets took over the US. His definition was taught to grade school kids in the 60s.

I agree but you have to realize that this is not at all instructive regarding the Framers’ views. IMO much of the judicial commentary in the late 19th Century on this subject is horribly wrong. They gave us anchor babies, something that I am certain has the Framers spinning in their graves.

I plan to write up my own views (which will be widely disparaged).but I think I have a handle on thai issue that is the result of study and thought over ten years and more.

I think that was as the result of inartful, or committee-decided wordsmithing, maybe to avoid any overt mention of "slaves". They should have just blurted it out in plain English.

And yes, I'm sure they are rolling in their graves, for a multitude of reasons.

Not necessarily born here, and not necessarily two citizen parents; your definition is true enough, but you don’t capture the entire population.

Why not?

Why not?

you don't capture the entire population.

GOOD! A lot of them shouldn't even be here. And the legal immigrants aren't eligible.

You see a lot of former presidents who were foreign born, or had foreign nationals as parents? At least Obama was smart enough to pretend to be born in the US.

I intend to write a post on this subject but not on my iPad, which is all I have now. I will ping you, might be a few days, I don’t know when I will have my computer up again.

“on evangelicals alone” isn’t a factor.

Such “dirt” keeps the so-called ‘evangelical voters’ home. They don’t go to the polls. Toe tappers are in the party. If they ain’t gonna vote for Cruz over this matter, they certainly aren’t going to vote for a “porn star” first lady.

Throwing mud is a dangerous game. They will just stay home.

Sylvester Stallone made a porn film too. Will his endorsement of the GOP also taint the party at the polls?

I wonder if I’m supposed to believe that all the gals hired in Trump’s casinos are Southern Baptists or burka-wearing muslims...

She just made a casting call and got the job.

What? Like all the porn stars appearing in Trump hotel pay-per-view flicks may do for the owner?

Trump has a porn star in his house.

Trump rakes in $ as THE porn industry from porn stars "performing" @ Trump hotels' pay-per-view venues.
