Basically, Turkey and Russia military could clash head-on in Syria, and it escalates into a full-scale war. Since Turkey is a member of Nato, U.S. and Nato would be pulled in.

I thought the deal was that if a NATO country is invaded, the others will defend it. If a NATO country invades someone else, there's no obligation to get involved.
Not saying the idiot in charge won't let his ego take over and side with Turkey.
