No? I’d venture to say not a single one of us have any idea what we are talking about, none whatsoever. If you did and you were correct Cruz would not be running, Rubio would not be running and O would not have reached a primary because it’d be settled law, cut and dry period. Until such time we (as in you me and other) have only that....opinions and nothing more. To state otherwise and make statements of fact when they do not exist make folks look quite silly. I’m mearly expressing the fact that NBC is all over the place and its interpretation is vague and not clearly defined.

Is that wall of text a reply to #465?

Well if so, put down the Nietzsche and understand that there are definitely some objective truths in life, and especially with this issue.

If you still do not understand why listing Jefferson and Jackson was an error then you need to hit the books immediately. There is nothing wrong with making a mistake, but continuing to make it is unforgivable and ignoring it and refusing to admit it is dishonorable. That is not what a Marine would do, ever.

NBC is expressly about keeping foreigners out of the White House, specifically as CinC. See #322 for the actual facts about how the clause came about.

Now, due to a quirk of our modern electorate and of candidates who think they are bigger than that office and the Constitution, you have the ability to vote for a foreigner to be President. But it does not change past history. Facts are facts. No-one is going to tell us there is no grandfather clause just to alter reality to rationalize their favorite candidate.
