>> Justice Roberts has been such a disappointment <<

Correct. But Kennedy has been much worse, and he was a Reagan appointment. Go figure.

Obama will get to stack the Court with another Marxist, Constitution twisting Radical hack

I can see two things happening.....

(1) McConnell does the right thing, and stalls this thing until 2017.

(2) He goes turtle belly up, and we have a fight on our hand. At that point, I am counting on contingent of Cruz, Lee, Sessions, Cotton, Coburn, and Paul to go into shift-work mode and filibuster any hearings into oblivion,

That would be a little too obvious. And Sanders could use that as a campaign point, labeling Cankles as an establishment type who would easily get in bed (so to speak) with the ilk who would snuff a High Court justice to gain more power. Killing your way to the top. She's already dying from self-inflicted wounds.

“My friend’s uncle was 48 years old, heavy smoker, was at work one day when he told his co-worker he “didnt feel good” went to go sit down, and dropped dead right there on the spot”

It also happens to people who never had a cigarette in their lives as it did to my daughter’s brother-in-law at 41.

Sorry, for just one second I thought they might act like Democrats and actually fight for something.

The only possible saving grace is that the GOPe are worried the voters are in revolt. Otherwise, Mcconnell would fold/

I would like to see all of the candidates at tonight’s debate give their opinion on who should replace Scalia.

Never going to happen.

They will be asked, but will defer to a particular “Type” of person.

That “type” will be dominate the news cycle after the debate.

Election, by Proxy.

He had been told a month earlier by his Doc that his blood was thick, didnt know what it meant, never asked any questions. Heard that sometimes people with thicker blood are more prone to heart attacks. Its just horrible, I wasn’t expecting this at all, I mean look at Ginsberg, she looks like she has a foot and a half in the grave, then you look at Scalia, just never saw this coming

In the dissent for Obergefell v. Hodges, Scalia wrote:

“It is not of special importance to me what the law says about marriage. It is of overwhelming importance, however, who it is that rules me. Today’s decree says that my Ruler, and the Ruler of 320 million Americans coast-to-coast, is a majority of the nine lawyers on the Supreme Court.”

I hope that a certain somebody will quote that in the debate.

Yes those quislings need to just run out the clock. All they have to do is just say no.

I’m not sure what you mean. The Constitution lays out a requirement for Supreme Court and specifies who nominates and who confirms Justices.

Other than that, it is a political question on the size of the Court, who sits on it, and their scope of Jurisdiction.

Don’t we need to make sure wew still have control of the Senate after Elections?

Aren’t we supposed to lose the Senate during Elections?

I, too, believe that he will nominate a mohammaden and dare the spineless GOP to to vote them down in this “era of islamophobia”.
