Cruz might have wanted to hide the fact he spoke Spanish to appeal to the Texas anglos.
big deal, a lot of people speak some spanish. It was stupid of Rubio the Robot to challenge a verbal genius like Cruz on this. The odds were that he would be fluent in Spanish and probably another language or two.
There does seem to be a lot about Cruz he tries to hide. Say like him writing lord McCain's 'waterboarding' legislation... There are few as anti US military than lord McCain... That one was a real shocker to me. Cruz sure has never touted that big accomplishment, until the NH debate, when he was forced to divulge his stand on 'waterboarding'... It sounded like he had cotton mouth when he said the name 'McCain'.
Cruz can’t speak fluent spanish. He probably knows how to order Mexican food, but that would be hard. He’s admitted it. If Rubio had of wanted he could have embarrased him by attempting to talk to him in Spanish.
