I remember that well, it was disgusting.
But it was telling that he came out against the Swift Boat Vets who were doing a great service for the country in exposing Kerry’s service. That’s when I started to doubt W.
W went liberal and politically correct like the rest of his family and seemed to heel at the call of his ultra-liberal wife.
I remember calling the White House at midnight telling them he better not sign amnesty right before 911. I remember that comment vividly. 9-11 got GW from giving the same 12 million illegals (never changes) citizenship.

Same here! My wife asked me, “Why are you so angry?” when they showed him on TV giving that flippant answer walking into the WH. (Back when we watched TV)
I walked over to the wall and took his framed photo off the wall. It’s under an inch of dust bunnies now out in the barn.
A lot of FResidents wonder why we reject his little brother and at least one Cuban. Besides the fact that Heb is a complete spaz, well, times have changed.
We’ve changed and conservatism is changing even as we listen to this gauntlet Trump is being run through.
But what has never changed is American revulsion at standing by while our country is failing due to a lack of vigilance for its welfare and concern for Americans by our leaders.
