Shortly after news broke that Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia had passed many started speculating who his successor would be if President Barack Obama were to nominate the next Supreme Court Justice.
One name floated frequently was Sri Srinivasan, who The New Yorker described as "the nominee in waiting."

Sounds like an Indian name to me.
Srinivasan’s father was a professor of mathematics at the University of Kansas, and his mother taught at the Kansas City Art Institute and later worked at the University of Kansas computer science department. Srinivasan graduated from Lawrence High School in Lawrence, where he played basketball, sharing the court with future NBA star Danny Manning.
Srinivasan earned a bachelor’s degree in 1989 from Stanford University and then earned a J.D./M.B.A. in 1995 from Stanford Law School and Stanford Graduate School of Business.
After law school, Srinivasan worked as a law clerk for United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit Judge J. Harvie Wilkinson III and then was a clerk for U.S. Supreme Court Associate Justice Sandra Day O’Connor.
Haven’t met a single Indian muslim with a Sri-something name. No - he’s Hindu or athiest.

Naw - sounds like a very typical Indian name. I work in IT, so I know lots of Indians, almost all of them very nice people. The Indians on the business side can be real dicks, though.

Sri is generally a Hindu name. Muslims hate Hindus, usually, and in any case, Hinduism is not a nationalist program (unlike Islam, an Arab nationalist movement). But it can sometimes be too involved with India and Indian politics.
Somebody said that Hinduism is like Roman religion before Christianity...a vague idea of a main god, and tons of little local gods, but coupled with a sort of moral/ethical code that was essentially natural law.
