cruz-dickerson-debate

This was amazing. John Dickerson is supposed to be the debate moderator and instead he starts getting into a debate with Ted Cruz regarding the appointment of Supreme Court justices during an election year.

Cruz rightly pointed out it’s been precedent for 80 years not to do this. Dickerson then started arguing with Cruz about when Justice Anthony Kennedy was appointed and confirmed. Watch this:

WATCH HERE!

Dickerson said he wanted to get the “facts” out there. There’s only one problem.

Cruz was right. Anthony Kennedy was nominated in November 1987. He was confirmed in 1988.

"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates wouldn’t make any sense at all." -- President Ronald Reagan

John Frederick Dickerson (born 1968[1]) is an American journalist. He is the host of Face the Nation on CBS News, political director of CBS News and a political correspondent for Slate magazine. Before joining Slate, Dickerson covered politics at Time magazine for 12 years, serving the last four as White House correspondent.

Woof. Good non-biased selection for moderator.

Yep and as we all expected they would, the CBS mods spent the entire debate pitting the candidates against each other, but tonight they really went way overboard. But this is why they are lowly cbs with two lowbrow, low IQ moderators.

John Dickerson came off the Super Fool of the debate. Cruz was truly the gentleman in that exchange...what on earth was Dickerson thinking of questioning a true expert on our Constitution. Dickerson a liberal??? Must be.

There's no such thing as "precedent" for a nomination near the end of a term. Just not as lot of opportunities.

If the Dems had control of the Senate, you can be damn sure Obama's minions would be writing the nomination speech tonight.

I loved the way Cruz handled the moderator and went on to answer the question.

They were also “pulling for Boobio!” Just read on another thread how the tickets for the debate were allocated. Trump is way, way right, they were all party apparatchiks.

Hillary and Saunders are two very happy people...was there ever such a train wreck as tonight's debate? Tinkerbell and Foxy would seal a HRC presidency.

We will all be looking back at this day and wondering how the heck Bernie Sanders, a COMMUNIST became President of the United States..I hope to God that does NOT happen otherwise America is gone, Sanders would make the Obama years seem decent

That was Cruz’s best moment of the debate.

Also LOL at him speaking Spanish to Rubio. That was an odd unforced error by Rubio.

Cruz ate him up. This was as much a set-up as the Fox sham debate.

Lordy Sarah, don't even breath that....I spend an awful lot of time thinking about how many thousands of Americans have given their lives fighting for our Constitution and the freedom it gives us....and how Bernie Sanders can live with himself having sworn to honor and protect that same document every time he took office...feckless Hillary is equally as guilty.
