politico.com ^ | February 13

An all-out brawl broke out on Saturday night's debate stage, as the GOP candidates viciously tried to wound each other ahead of next weekend's South Carolina primary.

Donald Trump skewered Jeb Bush for standing by his brother and the Iraq War. Bush slammed John Kasich for supporting Obamacare's Medicaid expansion. Marco Rubio and Trump called Ted Cruz a serial liar, and Cruz bit back, retorting that Rubio is weak on undocumented immigrants

I always liked Trump better when he was a Democrat

Maybe he can start the “Schlong Party”

“Trump needs to do the decent thing and drop out to endorse Cruz”

You must live in the city. If you lived in the country, you would know that bulls don’t yield to steers.

I never argued that they should. I didn't say that any or all of those points together were enough reason to go to war. My point was that those were the reasons cited by GWB and others not this...

Bush 2 decided to take out Hussein because he felt that Hussein's continued rule over Iraq was affront to Bush1.

If you want to debate that that was the reason Bush 2 took us to war then you will be on topic.

“He will do damage to the GOP brand”

Not possible. The past quarter century of neocon idiocy has hammered it flat.

“I’m seeing this pro-Iraq war, pro-Bush talking point a lot lately. I wonder where it’s coming from - Weekly Standard? National Review? It sure isn’t coming from the grassroots.”

It’s neocons in the bunker, waiting for Steiner. Steiner isn’t coming.

Take it up with Trump. He ran a Bush lied and people died attack on Bush. Trump then said that GWB should have been impeached. Later in the debate Trump defended planned parenthood. Trump is a liberal democrat and is running in the wrong primary.

Trump really outed himself tonight -the raw, crass, rude-crude buffoon was on full display.

But it matters not to his sycophants -

Glad I live Far from the Madding Crown - Wish there was a "New Land" to go settle in like the Pilgrims had. This land has become infected with insanity

Which goes to show what a globalist new world order president George W. Bush was. All our meddling in Iraq was just what the first Bush implied it was, the first stage of creating the new world order, a globalist system that overrides the sovereignity of all states, including the United States! All the other "reasons" were just excuses.

I didn't see that at the time, but I do now.

I knew that shortly into his presidency by his domestic policies. But that is all non-sequitur to the point I was making to the other poster.

I guess you think Iraq was a disaster. The disaster was pulling out. Thank Obama for that. Katrina? Thank Kathleen Blanco and company. WMD? Everybody thought Saddam had them and probably did. You’d think Obama wasn’t trying to destroy the Constitution and the country the way Trump is jumping on Bush 43.

"The World Trade Center came down during the reign of Bush."

I'm no fan of GWB, but that is utter horse$h!+.

You may not like the implication, but the statement is correct.

There were also much later reports in the Times that ISIS had captured the WMDs that has been left in Iraq.

To be honest, I think I’m more pissed off at CBS and the RNC for that travesty of a debate they pulled last night than anyone else up on that stage. Someone on the “live” thread last night summed it up perfectly, that crowd sounded like a Jerry Springer or Maury Povich audience with all their hooting and hollering. I thought that type of crap wasn’t allowed during the debates??? If there wasn’t so much bad blood between Cruz and Trump, I wished they’d tell the RNC to F-off and run third party together and finally destroy the GOP once and for all.
