This is vital. Obama is going to nominate someone (who we know will be a leftist hack), probably young, so the damage will be incalculable throughout decades.
We must not let this happen. I realize the primaries are still going on, but we need to put that aside, at least temporarily, and focus on stopping Obama’s opportunism.
He will most likely nominate someone on Tuesday, and claim it’s an “extended recess appointment”, and in so saying a Senate confirmation will not be required. This is the nightmare scenario but he has proven, time and time again, to do the most radical, un-Constitutional things in support of his leftist agenda. We know this; so it’s not unreasonable at all to believe he will do so here.
We must therefore be prepared for this eventuality and harass the Senate with a blitzkrieg of e-mails and phone calls. We can’t let this happen, we just can’t. This is bigger than the election right now. This is bigger than “our” candidate (whomever that might be, either Trump or Cruz).
We must focus or the election is meaningless, whomever wins the nomination. Obama is going to use every tactic to get his nomination through. He’s been salivating at the chance to finally tilt the court, and now he has the opportunity. There is no time for Cruz/Trump fights. It’s time to focus on defending what we can, now, or the election is meaningless.
Be prepared to start harassing your Senators! Stop Obama!
