Bell Boy! I got to keep running now.
Bell Boy! Keep my lip buttoned down.
Bell Boy! Carry this baggage out.
Bell Boy! Always running at someone’s heel.
You know how I feel, always running at someone’s heel.

I have no problem with what Rubio (or any of the GOP candidates) has to say. I agree with most of it, and if I don’t agree, I am flexible enough to compromise in favor of some important conservative goals.

My problem is that I don’t believe a syllable of it.

That’s why I’m for Trump - he actually has more credibility than the GOP field, even if that credibility is 1%.

“The more I watch Marco Rubio, the less I like him”........

I have never liked the used car salesman from day one. He is a shyster lawyer with a wannabe as the POTUS.

Whatever the merits of the other criticisms, Rubio owed Bush nothing when it came to the Presidency. You support people not to buy them, but because you think they are good for the country. That should have been Jeb's motive for supporting Rubio. And it shouldn't have "bought" Rubio's support for a future Jeb run.

It is up to the voters to decide who to support. The feeling by Jeb and his campaign that he has been "betrayed" by Rubio choosing to run is one of things I find most loathesome about his campaign.

To be perfectly honest, I really don’t like anyone running for president. I find it hard to believe that this is the best a country of 300 million has to offer. We are in trouble.

I would vote for Romney in a heartbeat over any of these guys. He’s more conservative than Trump, more mature than Rubio, and more able to get things done than Cruz will be. And the fact that I’m actually able to say that makes me ill, because I wasn’t a huge Mitt fan in the first place.

I’m starting to feel the same way about Cruz.

Cruz is playing with us if he doesn’t get his undecided birth eligibility status put to bed in a federal court. He should have done this a long time ago. It feels more and more like his own political gain is more important to him than our country. As it stands, it is possible the election for the Right could be trashed if he’s nominated and then subsequently sued and found ineligible. That is a risk a selfless statesman should not and would not take.

There is literally very little chance of that most legal scholars believe that’s a nothing issue, to say nothing of the state eligibility challenges that have so far been soundly rejected.

A very strange article IMHO.

The whole “overcoming adversity” argument is downright weird.

I can’t stand Marco Rubio. To me, Ted Cruz is the only choice.

Redstate is far from establishment. At least historically. They have led the fight to support up and coming conservatives for the past three election cycles. They’ve championed everyone from governors and senators to congress candidates taking on the incumbents. I am less than satisfied with their anti trump bs from day one last summer, but they are not in the establishment camp like NR.

Can’t stand either Rubio or Cruz. Neither is eligible.

The biggest problem with both Rubio and Cruz is not their positions on issues.

I just think they both seem a little canned. Inauthentic. Groomed by handlers.

Setting aside his awful entanglement with the Gang of 8, Rubio actually has a good track record. But he has not yet even begun to pay the penance for that.

Is he irredeemable? No. I will not be shocked if Trump were to select him as VP.

His campaign has not been awful... they spun like hell after the NH debate, so he's got good staff... but there was only so much to be done in that situation.

Cruz, on the other hand, has NOT been well-served by his campaign staff. He picked dirty staff, and now he's been tagged as sleezy and as a liar, and I actually don't think that is completely unjustified. Unlike Rubio, I think Cruz is done politically after this cycle. He'll be a good Senator for Texas, but there's not a ladder for him to climb higher. Just my opinion, of course.

Look both sides have what they consider to be valid arguments and could argue until the cows come home.

Why didn’t he get this settled in federal court a long time ago? It is an open issue and his failure to get it settled says a lot to me about Cruz putting Cruz before America.
