even though I once was a HUGE Cruz supporter, the more I got to know him, the less and less, and LESS I can find to like him for, until now, I can't think of anything.

Couldn't agree more. Remember that woman years ago who went into convulsions whenever she heard the voice of Mary Hart from Entertainment Tonight? I feel that way when I hear Cruz's voice.

“Funny, but off by a mile. Jeb is number three on my most disliked candidates list right after Trump and Kasich.”

Yea, I’ve noticed that the Rubio supporters are starting to reveal themselves since Rush seems to have some weird attraction towards that candidate.

And then there is our own Caucus here in FR. Not a large number of people, but if the results mean absolutely nothing to you then I have to wonder, why do you like it here in FR?

All politicians have different talking points on stage vs. private conversations. e.g. Romney’s 49%

All politicians try to appeal to the voting block they are seeking. e.g. DT TWO Corinthians to show his biblical knowledge but who would believe he does personal devotions?

The Iowa / Carson thing is way over blown. Anti Cruz folks are caterwalling about it, I’m not discounting it but I do understand all political campaigns seize on things for political advantage.

DT’s and Rubio’s liar liar pants on fire schtick is cover fire for their own positions and record.

The tell is when people that cannot muster a defense start calling their opponents liars.

Leave the liar tripe for where it’s deserved, Clinton and Obama.

If the GOP wanted to take Trump down, isn’t it time they collude behind one candidate? The three or four of them easily out poll Trump.

I hope that if he wins, he puts Cruz on the SC replacing Scalia.

I agree 100% with you on this.

I know, I haven’t ever been impressed with the Constitution Party for the same reasons. I am just utterly dismayed that so many people want to elect Trump.

No one is fooled by Trump, sure there’s a risk. But understand, demographics have changed drastically over the the last 20 years. Not enough pure conservative voters to elect a pure conservative candidate. So what ya gonna do? Vote for the candidate who promises the most stringent policy on immigration and the most likely to stop Hillary.

Truth

Persona and charisma just as important in modern politics as policy in winning elections. Trumps’ got it others don’t.

I’m voting for Trump but I still like Ted Cruz.

Just curious as to why you are voting for Trump. Is it his willingness to fund Planned Parenthood, his plan to raise taxes on the top bracket, or his promise to start having the government directly pay the medical bills of the 25% of Americans who don’t have insurance?

Thinking to hard on this, it’s just this. Trump has the best chance of beating Hillary. Period.

Maybe this is what he’s doing.

Excerpt from Art of the Deal:

Fight Back

Much as it pays to emphasize the positive, there are times when the only choice is confrontation. In most cases I’m very easy to get along with. I’m very good to people who are good to me. But when people treat me badly or unfairly or try to take advantage of me, my general attitude, all my life, has been to fight back very hard. The risk is that you’ll make a bad situation worse, and I certainly don’t recommend this approach to everyone. But my experience is that if you’re fighting for something you believe in- even if it means alienating some people along the way- things usually work out for the best in the end.
