Donald Trump Backtracks on His Criticism of George W. Bush

The former president remains popular among Republicans.

During his appearances on various Sunday morning political shows, Donald Trump backtracked on some comments he made about former president George W. Bush during the Republican debate the previous night.

Trump, as he has done multiple times throughout this presidential race, invoked the Iraq War as a way to criticize Jeb Bush for his brother’s actions. “The World Trade Center came down during your brother’s reign, remember that,” Trump told Jeb, eliciting boos from the audience. Then regarding former president Bush starting the unpopular Iraq war, he said, “They lied. They said there were weapons of mass destruction and there were none. And they knew there were none.”

"Donald Trump Backtracks on His Criticism of George W. Bush"

More Trump BS. He was angry and spoke from the heart when he said those things. Now after some blow back he's trying to BS his way out of it.

Trump has been a democrat most of his life.

Living in liberal NY, he most likely only heard the liberal line about how “Bush lied, people died”. If Trump had been around conservative circles, he would have heard a completely different view of the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Trump had no idea that his attacks on Bush (Jr) would not be received as well away from the liberal land that he lived and worked in. Trump is still mostly a democrat, with perhaps a leaning towards capitalism.

Summary: 9/11 was Bush’s fault. Just like the terrorists trying to kill the attendees at the Muhamed cartoon thing in Texas was Pamela Gellar’s fault.

The article is full of garbled characters and is unreadable. Probably a pile of BS anyway.

Probably. At least mine has the excuse of garbled characters. Your post is readable and still pure BS. You can read it. You know what it says. Your boy is full of shit.

You mean, he grew up with “New York Values?”
Oh. Yeah. Bad influences.
Bwahahahahaha. What is he, 12?

I take Trump going after Crazy Bernie’s base in the debate over the weekend as more evidence he is a Clinton plant. After all as soon a Clinton is threatened by Bernie, Trump tries to steal some of his voters in the open SC primary. That would certainly benefit Clinton maybe more than any voters he could attract would benefit Trump who after all might lose some support to get other support to help Clinton.

I agree that W is popular with republicans. But less and less people consider themselves republican.

George Bush is probably one of the worst presidents in our nation’s history.

doubled the national debt

implemented more big government programs

formalized the decline of our military to a one theater power

allowed that military to decline

allowed the nation to melt down around us in the economic crash

left us exposed to massive crime from illegal alien invaders

refused to enforce our immigration laws, or to defend us

he took a complete pass on the Clintons, and thus we have to deal with them still

he actually appointed Bill to a highly visible position effectively rehabbing him

blame him or not for 09/11, it’s iffy at best, it’s still a fact that one 17 man crew pulled that off, and Bush actually increased the numbers of Saudi nationals who could come her on student visas to over 30,000

so I don’t really care who backs Bush

I don’t judge people by what other unformed people are saying about them

Today Rush asked a caller if W is not revered. The caller replied a terse “NO!”. I think Rush was speechless for a few seconds.

The only possible way I could vote for Trump in the general election is if the Senate can ignore Obola’s SC candidate and never bring it to the floor. Even at that I’m not sure Trump would put a Scalia (Cruz) on the court.

I’m sorry folks. IMO Trump is a liberal and at this point I don’t need to hold my nose when voting but it’s “what difference does it make.” Wait a minute who said that?

Cruz ads are already being taken down all over South Carolina as a result.

I’ve been working down in the barn all day....so what’s going on with the Cruz Ads? I listened to about half the Trump Newser.

Post a direct quote. The article is full of garbled characters and is unreadable. Probably a pile of BS anyway.

There are no details or quotes in the article that justify the title.

“I’ve been working down in the barn all day....so what’s going on with the Cruz Ads? I listened to about half the Trump Newser.”

Which part of Trump did you hear? The one where he insists Bush lied or the one where he said it was all a mistake?

Dunno about Cruz coming down. Don’t care. The vote is what counts. Who implodes is going to be the most interesting part of this circus.

I've lived in liberal New York City all of my 50+years, and I knew what those commie SOBs were about. It was the "peace" org United For Peace and Justice who I believe started that crap. UFP&J is a front for Communist Party USA. One of the two women who co-founded the org was at the time co-chair of the Communist Party. Her name is Judith Leblanc. The other founder was communist Leslie Cagan.

I’m undecided, too. Except for Trumpy. When any sob stands up in front of a national audience on our dime and proclaims the good works of PP and the probable guilt of “insiders” on 9/11...that one is out. Period. What happens on the other side is interesting too. I would sure hate to see history repeat and get a Clinton in the WH because of a crazy self indulgent shoot from the lip billionaire who could care less if he wins. With no party affiliation of more than a few years over an entire lifetime, and nothing but contradictions, I don’t think he’d be my gardener...bushes are ok one day, treacherous the next. Woof.
