Try a search here—I seen it referenced several times, with links, that quote the actual interview. Or, try Google.
Sorry I don’t have my own link.
I’ve always viewed focusing on our problems here instead of other peoples’ problems half a world away as a conservative and patriotic position. There was no 9/11 link to Saddam Hussein (though many politicians and much of the media did its best to obscure that fact), and when we started turning up weapons WE HAD GIVEN SADDAM to use against Iran I knew the “war” was unjust.
What would you tell someone today who lost a loved one in Iraq?
According to Newsmax, he was on TV shortly before the attack warning about it.
But the fact is that he was harboring terrorists, including some who escaped from Afghanistan when we went there. He was in violation of the 1991 peace agreement and 17 UN resolutions. Those things would have been sufficient justification, but the Bush administration also listed about 14 other reasons.
Saturday night at the debate — Trump expressly said that Bush lied about the WMDs. Then he denied he ever said it, and all the Trump acolytes insist that he didn’t.
There is no bigger liar I know than Donald J. Trump. He lies all the time. Heâs just a big, fat liar.
I’m not saying he knew. I am saying it was his job to know...
That’s what “keeping us safe” is all about. And the government’s fix for this was strip searching grandmothers and allowing the ragheads to continue to fly.
He may have gone ‘too far’ for some, for me, it’s based in reality of how millions view the whole WMD saga.
Nonetheless, what he will get from this is having Cruz in the position of defending Bush and thereby, the GOPe, which he steadfastly claims he is NOT a part of - I personally find it rather hilarious.
Wow. I bet his pants are on fire, too....
Our country has subsequently shown how little interest we have in really fighting terrorism (see the open borders, the end of NYC’s Muslim surveillance program, etc.); while the public could unanimously support the war in Afghanistan because of the 9/11 link, people were absolutely right to oppose the invasion of Iraq.
That's the takeaway sentence right there. He may well support his "friend" who is on his way to being elected president. But just in case that doesn't happen, he's got his bases covered with the Bushes. Either way, he'll still get invited to Kennebunkport.
That may well be true. It isn’t really relevant to the questions of whether we should vhe gone to Iraq, whether we should hve left the way we did, what and whether Bush knew, and the charge that Bush lied.
Maybe.
OMG....was that done in....gulp....PHOTOSHOP?
We’ll agree to disagree; I still feel you couldn’t explain it to the family of a fallen American from the Iraq war.
