Giuliani is wrong about this. Trump said he does not blame Bush for the 9/ 11 attacks. What he said was that Bush did not keep us safe during the first nine months of his administration. The attacks happened during Bushs watch. So Bush cannot get full credit for keeping us safe.

Trump has proved to be a political issue minesweeper. As Rush wondered about today, by challenging Jeb!, Trump has taken the “Republicans’/Bush’s fault” planks away from Hillary’s platform in a General Election. For the natural follow-on, look at the first two reasons Trump gives in the WaPo interview: the lax immigration policies (dems fault) and intelligence agencies not talking to each other (dems fault, and very specifically, Clinton admin’s fault). Regardless of whether Trump is the final candidate or not, he just cleared the bay for whoever is.
