In fact, it sounds like an attack by the Pope against our country. I really don’t know how else to look at it.

The simple fact of the matter, and I don't of anyone who will disagree, is that there have been some bad popes throughout history and Francis seems to fall into that category (though, unlike the bad popes of five centuries ago, his problem is not one of personal greed and corruption, but his seeming embrace of modernism and possible other heresies).

Though I reject the position of the sedevacantists, I fully understand their rationale. I trust the Lord's promise that the gates of hell will not prevail against His Church and that the Holy Spirit will prevent Francis from teaching heresy; however, I am certainly no fan of this pope and the fact that the media, to the best of my knowledge, has NEVER criticized him speaks volumes.

Trump hasn't even won the Republican nomination, and people are treating him like he's the President!

Maybe Trump needs to be standing behind a podium with the words "Office of the President (almost) Elect"... nawww, only a treal moron would do that...

Pope Francis speaks responsibly from the Christian leader view.

Pope Francis speaks responsibly from the Christian leader liberation theology/marxist influenced view.

Nah, he comes from Argentina, so he is comfortable with corrupt Latin-American governments.

Yes it does seem strange that he appears to be attacking Americans for the problems south of the border. To my recollection, I don’t remember Americans causing the problems, yet he seems to join in somehow blaming Americans.

It’s very strange and I would like to hear from American Catholics how they see the logic here. It just doesn’t add up to me.

Before he was Pope he was a socialist Cardinal in Brazil. Now just around a year as pope he has this vast world view that no one else has. Arrogance is not very pious!

This Pope could care less about the sovereignty of other nations and the burden of taxpayers. The Pope has little compassion for taxpayers and their safety. He also has little regard for our laws especially our immigration laws. And the Pope does not seem to understand the crime Americans have to endure from many of the illegals.

Many Catholics do not support his socialist political activism. I am sure Trump will respond to the Popes remarks.

Other articles on the news sites have headlines like “Pope attacks capitalism and immigration at US border”

You’ve really got to wonder what Benedict was thinking.

Maybe the capitalists should keep their filthy offerings to themselves. :>)

Same here. Any Catholics who would take the Pope’s side on this are voting for Bernie anyhow.

“No. This pope is a globalist, so is Obama. They are on the same side along with most of DC.”

Bingo.

Good for TRiUMPh

He has recently made a comment about the Justice's death. Has he connected the dots to include the unorthodox placement of the current Holy Father? If anyone should be paying attention to the word's events - these 'folk's might have made a connection as well. Just saying....

The Pope doubled down on stupid.

Excellent!

As an ex-cathlolic I tell one and all —

This pope is just a guy, folks, a product of liberal sophistry.

And the Catholic Church? A corrupt multinational business. Nothing more. Only the lay members prop it up.

Actually the Pope did lambast Mexico’s corruption. He will have a postitive impact on South and Central America’s morality.

But it’s a mixed bag, isn’t it?

Leftist agendas.
