Wednesday on Fox News Channelâs âHannity,â network strategic analyst Ralph Peters excoriated Apple CEO Tim Cook for his unwillingness to conform to a U.S. government request to build a so-called âbackdoorâ to reveal what was on the San Bernardino shooterâs iPhone.

"FNC'S Peters: Apple's Time Cook "Would Rather Sell Phones To Terrorists Than Protect The American People"
Peters is such an assclown for the police state. Hands off our iPhones. Keep Muslims out, spy on and ban radical mosques and the problem is solved.
Truth of the matter is, SOMEONE on this planet will be selling phones to terrorists.
In five years’ time the iPhone 6 will be the new Brick Phone. There will be phones from half a dozen countries with encryption that NOBODY can break.
Why does the govt need everything on everybody without a warrant?
Technology is one issue where I regularly want to reach through my monitor and punch most fellow Republicans. I really hate to say it, but I think because the Republican base trends older, they’re really woefully lacking when it comes to technical understanding, and I feel like I have to lash myself for saying this, but the libs (in most cases) tend to be more close to correct when it comes to issues of technology. Apple is right to resist the FBI here.
And just imagine if terrorists could get guns.
Perhaps the moderators might fix this mistype that occurs in the title, as well as, the body of your post.
Apple knows this. They are just the first ones (or at least most known) to get credit for this and have it acknowledged. It is a boost for them and should help sales. But the government won't get cooperation from all of Apple's competition.
I sense that what made the iPhones so very popular is the security factor and Apple is trying to stand up to big government.
The FBI went to court to get an order and Cook still said he wouldn't comply. The privacy of a dead terrorist is more important to him than stopping the next terrorist attack. Either that or this is just a big ad campaign for Apple.
What utter BS. How quickly we forget the Patriot Act and the virtual destruction of our Rights.
No, no, no, no a thousand times no. Do NOT give the government back door access to our Privacy. No, no, no.
I applaud Apple standing up against Tyranny.
Karmas a beeyatch Timmy watch yourself.
Thank-you letting me know of that spelling error.
The County gave the phone to their worker, it wasn’t his personal phone...so why didn’t the County vet this guy?
So we have to put ourselves at risk, not know whether the government will use the same thing on innocent Americans further down the road, by Apple creating this back door?
I say NO...it’s not America’s fault that a few people in Ca. didn’t vet their employees better to put the rest of our people in a risky situation, and you know the government would do it...
Peters is dead wrong on this. Privacy, that is, “secur[ity] in one’s person, houses, papers, and effects” was understood by the Founders as essential to resisting the encroachment of the Leviathan. Of the three options of 1) letting this guy go, 2) destroying everyman’s privacy or 3) just executing the bum, 1) or even 3) is preferable to 2). We must stop the ever advancing slouch to turnkey super-totalitarianism excused as ‘security’.
It’s not Apple’s job to do the detectives work.
Show me someone that believes this is really about this one phone, sand I’ll show you Pollyanna.
Nonsense. Apple doesn't want to be forced to design a new program to defeat its own security measures. To do so would flush the millions spent designing those security features in the first place and lose the goodwill of their business customer base who relied on this security when they bought the phone.
Has anyone given any thought to a different reason why Tim Cook is refusing to do this?? We Know the FBI wants Hillary Prosecuted, and they probably don’t care much for the President since he has politicized the FBI so much. What would happen if Apple unlocked the phone and found direct Links, or a trail that leads Directly to either the CIA or State Department, and maybe even Hillary Herself??
That would not look good at all, since Hillary and Obama are both Tim Cook’s kind of people.
Exactly.
