Good Grief. Tonight Buzzfeed breaks with a story about Donald Trump supporting the Iraq invasion in 2002. They present an interview Mr. Trump had with radio host Howard Stern on the first anniversary of the 9-11 attack. September 11th 2002.
To frame a 3 second off-the-cuff response: "I guess so, well, uh", to an off the cuff question, unrelated to the point of New York and the anniversary being discussed, is more than a little silly.

Thank god the Trumpness never held responsible for anything he ever says than goodness. De Blasio could e a great mayor, no problem, support Obamacare mandates no problem, support funding planned parenthood no problem.

Trump is a fantasy for people. Like Obama, people read their own views into Trump. It’s one of the reasons they are so shrill and angry when people don’t support Trump. They can’t have a rational discussion about Trump because the truths about him are so inconvenient.
Trump has no history of doing anything about illegal immigration except talking about it.

This is September of 2002.
The invasion of Iraq happened about March of 2003. In between were all the hearings, inspections, etc.
Trump was asked if he was for invading Iraq 6 months before it happened and he said “I....guess....so....I wish we’d done it correctly the first time..”
There was OBVIOUS reluctance in his voice. After hearing that, I’d absolutely not be surprised at all that he opposed it six months later.
Facts are terrible things.
It is a fact that Colin Powell said he was perhaps willfully given bad intel that the intell people already knew was bad intel.

Sean Hannity confirmed Trump opposed Iraq war before it began, stated they had many arguments about it. Buzzfeed lies by taking a few seconds of audio of a very non-commital statement and claiming Trump did not oppose war before it began.
Cruzbots in turn don't care about facts and so will do and say anything to slime Trump, even while their candidate lies to their face about things like his position on legalization, like when he was calling legalization part of "common sense immigration reform."

Trump most certainly does have a history of doing something about illegals.
Trump has helped get a whole lot of democrats elected which all make sure Obama isn’t stopped from throwing open the southern border so there are lots of new democrat voters.

You characterized Trump's statement correctly - it shows no real support for the second Iraq Bush war and was a statement as part of a free flowing conversation at a time when the war was not even a sure thing.
So all you people trying to attack Trump by saying he was not against the Iraq war - does that mean being against the Iraq war like Trump stated is the correct and smart position to take?
Trump's position is now the winning position and that is why they are trying to minimize it.

You can tell Trump was very reluctant about offering any support for the idiotic war. It’s pretty amazing considering the constant 24/7 media campaign designed to cajole everyone into supporting it.
