And this was really about voter disenfranchisement the libs would create yet another welfare program distributing photo IDs. And they don't, do they? Why not? The so-called problem would be solved.

If you are so ignorant you do not have an ID then you should not be a voter, period.
I’ll go one step further: if you have no skin in the game(like not paying taxes) you should not be qualified to vote either.

This study/article is so full of contradictions that I need a Dramamine just to finish reading it.
If voting drops among minorities, blacks, Asians, etc. soley because of their lack of a Photo ID (govt issued), then they DON’T WANT to vote because they know they are ineligible to do so.
It has nothing to due with race, ethnic background, religion, height, or sex.
The moral, ethical, and mental corruption that is the LEFT is shown by the dishonesty of those who conducted the study or of the writers if reasons “why” people didn’t vote were provided in the study.
Today I had to show a Driver’s License to enter a government facility open to the public (they’ve changed the rules again) yet an official US Govt ID from a law enforcement agency would not get me in.
As I joked with the guards (who know that this is stupid), I said “If you want a hundred different drivers licenses with my photo on all of them, let me know”. I could probably make then at Kinko’s copy centers.
Our whole identification system is a farce as Al Qaeda and ISIS operatives know (plus drug traffickers, human traffickers, and illegal aliens who also know this).
If I were running for president right now, one of my platform pledges would be to see to it that everyone in America who is a legal citizen, will have a government-issued ID card. And I would make sure that the documentation for the person was real and verifiable.
We don’t know who is in the country. In fact, we no longer know who our neighbors are.
Time to do a “body count” that is realistic and honest. This would drive illegals out of here like roaches before a blowtorch, except in California where US legal is routinely ignored by Gov. Moonbeam and his legislature of commies, crazies and cronies.

If there are no requirements, why won’t people get a voter ID?

Could be the minorities and liberals were educated under common core and cannot complete the forms required to obtain a photo ID .... it’s really hard when you are stuck for an answer when the instructions state: “print your name” ....
I always vote early here in Texas. I give them my driver license and they let me vote.

In TX also. I always get my voter registration card mailed to me in early January. The past few years I’ve voted I only show my photo ID (DL) and they enter my info on computer that connects with the registration data base.
I recall that years ago I had to show my regis. card and DL, while others at the polling place only had to show a water bill with a name and address, but no proof of it being their real name or address.
These Dems are really in left field when they claim that voter photo ID discriminates against minorities.
The days when a “Medicare Card†without a photo, was enough to get you treatment are LONG GONE with Obamacare.

I’ve had a Medicare card without photo for 8 years and have used it for flu shots and a few “Doc-in-box” walk-ins with no problems. ....Why would anyone on Medicare have to mess with Obamacare?
Minorities having trouble voting = illegals
Liberals having trouble voting = voters who vote multiple times and dead voters.
We have to get rid of voter fraud and please (CHECK YOUR BALLOT to make sure the machine was not programed to change your vote.
