Only morons would support a loser like Jeb.

No wonder they have no clue on a second choice.

George Pee needs to be primaried in 2018. A Republican with the slogan of “I’ll show up to work,” should defeat him handily. Has George Pee reimbursed the Texas taxpayers for all the time he has been AWOL to go campaigning out of state when he’s supposed to do his job ?

“The guy is a clueless dork with oatmeal for brains, and a distinct lack of any discernible personality. “

he sure appeared that way on the campaign trail. i wonder how he ever managed to govern Florida.

Jeb had everything going for him but voter support.

Once he lost his front-runner status last summer, his fate was sealed.

Beats me. Maybe Mommy did all his homework for him, and he just turned it in the next day.

“I [want a] Cruz and Rubio tie so they keep fighting each other. “

Yep, great idea, wonderful - the circular firing squad has been so effective in the past.

Sheesh...

Speaking to his wife’s homies in Spanish certainly did him no good. Glad he’s gone, he would have been a disaster as president. The people knew that.

That doesn’t clear things up much. This probably goes all the way to the convention and we’ll be left with a chunk of disenchanted voters no matter what. Same on the other team i think as well.

Quite possible, but it depends on how quickly the lower-tier candidates drop out as to whether a majority is possible or, at least, a higher plurality. The same dynamic was happened with McCain and Romney.

The rules were changed after Romney to increase the delegate count of, to favor, a candidate winning a plurality earlier own (to avoid the long drawn out primary). This benefits Trump. If, under these rules he still cannot win a majority, then we go to the convention in a more fractured state.

How disenchanted depends on how willingly other delegates are to combine behind a candidate to win the majority.

IMHO of course.

Just an example, but let’s say we go to the convention with, roughly, three candidates almost splitting the delegates, 5% for other.

If the delegates for two of these candidates can agree to join behind one of them, with a modicum of disenchantment, then you have 2/3rds of the delegates agreeing to unite behind the winning candidate.

There will, of course, be some very disenchanted voters, but - if their delegates are representative - two-thirds will agree to unite behind a candidate, half behind “not their candidate” but a candidate they are willing to support against the alternative.

Basically what happens in elections. At some point, if your candidate does not win, you go for your next choice.

It does require some maturity at the end, however. :)

Theres the Trump people. The Cruz people. The anyone but those two people. I have a hard time envisioning any of those groups supporting the other. Do they vote a few months later and how many will be telling.

I was shocked that he got into the race. Rubio was the horse from that stable. I never thought Jeb! wanted to run.

I think he was a kamikaze run because he knew early on about the Rubio “rumors” and that they’re true. The sleazy Dems and media are just waiting to spew them when it will hurt the most.

Remember W’s DWI? That last minute revelation is why he almost lost. These Rubio “whispers” are worse. Even in 2016.

The “powers that be” have plenty of stuff they hold over both Bush and Rubio.

They told the two of them to fight it out and see who came out of the pit alive. Rubio survived—barely ( :-) )

Rubio can be destroyed at will or backed at will during the primaries or a general election—depends on how the big boys want to play it. But he is definitely a puppet on a string.

Family get togethers for ¡Yeb! just became really uncomfortable. He’s gonna have to sit at the “never been president” table.

Maybe he can finally retire to Mexico, where he belongs.

Now let’s see, the Cruzbots were rampaging when their cherub scored that YUGE 1 delegate win in Iowa. So now that The Donald has shredded him in the last two primaries, where are the big mouths now? Yeah, I thought so. Pants pissing cowards.

The cherry on top of the cake of Trump’s SC win would be a mass suicide wave of Cruz supporters. The collective IQ of the country would rise for sure. I’m thinking the scene below.
