“The National Review = The Establishment Review”

That would be true if they supported Presidents Clinton and Obama.

The Cruz family is definitely a “power couple”. Both of them are insiders, DC Beltway as well as Wall Street. Pass.

The biggest loser last night was not Jeb who dropped out. But Cruz. South Carolina and the other Bible Belt SEC states were to be his firewall. Last night proved that there is no such thing. If you look at that one demographic Evangelicals, Trump beat him and it wasn’t close.

If you go adding this person and that person combined beats Trump.....that is a fantacy game.

This race is still Establishment vs the Anti-Establishment. When Cruz can’t get traction in the SEC next month he will drop out, When Kasich ends up a distant 3rd in Ohio he will drop out. In one month it will be a two man race.

Trump vs Rubio

As much as Cruz fans and Trump fans have gone after each other. At its base was anger vs the Establishment and that will win out in the end.

Without a doubt this has been a very interesting election cycle.

How can two Cuban parents engender an natural born American?

Cruz' mother was born in Delaware. She is not Cuban.

Both Trump and Cruz, at some points in their own campaigns, have said, they would very possibly choose the other as a running mate, if they were the Nominee. Does this mean anything to you? I have wondered, if maybe they are working together.... Personally, sounds like a great ticket to me, either way.

Still waiting for just ONE Iowa voter to say he changed his vote from Carson to Cruz over the CNN tweet. Just ONE, according to Trump there were THOUSANDS.
But then again he is a mean spirited unhinged liar.

I was responding to the poster’s comments about RUBIO. Both Rubio’s parents were Cuban citizens.

However, under the natural born clause of the Constitution, citizenship descended through the father only, and that concept is locked into the Constitution and can not be changed by the latest Naturalization law.

That makes Cruz ineligible.

Reference Naturalization Act of 1790 for definition purposes.

Please just curious does the “excited about the candidate” gap between Trump and PIAPS close that?

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3399835/posts

Also how hard do people actually hate the candidate. I support Trump even though I view him somewhat suspiciously.
I don’t like Trump’s mouth. I support him because of some of the positions he has taken and espouses

I despise PIAPS. If PIAPS is elected I plan to drop my US citizenship and move to China where my wife is comfortable since it will have become a freer county.

I’m aware of the anchor baby argument, and it concerns me, too. Courts haven’t clarified the issue, and prevailing legal opinion seem to be that born on American soil is sufficient. Yes, that is worrisome.

But so is having a closet liberal loose cannon in the White House who would like to be king.

Yes indeed I do. There's something fishy, I don't know what because there are so many possibilities, about this whole campaign. And FR has become
unrecognisable, I believe it is now riddled with agents provocateurs.

I'm not staunchly for any candidate, though I'm staunchly against all except two of them (Cruz, Trump).

But I think whoever wins, conservatives are in for big and unpleasant surprise. From which direction I'm not yet sure.

Thank God this is all coming to an end soon, The End, Biblically speaking. Because I am wary of all of them now, and who they may be beholden to or in cahoots with.

I was a full bore “Birther” against Obama because I saw it as a tool to maybe defeat him or get him out of office. I really didn’t care that he wasn’t “natural born” but I cared that he was a lying sack of crap and was raised an Islamic Marxist.

I think many “birthers” now are just using it as a tool to try to help their guy Trump. They really don’t care that Cruz was born in Canada.

I also think (I really hate to say it) that there is a large group that are anti-hispanic or racist. I have witnessed these people and when I was a teenager, and I was part of the “last American out of Florida, turn out the lights and bring the flag” crowd. For better or worse, the Cuban refugee flood happened, and I think the Cubans haven’t been so bad. Most have been hard working, liberty loving, great food making, and family oriented citizens.

Carson wasn’t leaving after Iowa and he won’t leave till his money runs out. He naively decided to go home before returns were in that night and made a rookie mistake of saying so without explaining his intentions.

CNN jumped on it and the rumors flew. Of course the Cruz campaign jumped on it. It’s a rough and tumble game. Trump has taken advantage of the fallout. Dr. Carson’s feelings are still hurt, demonstrating that his skin is just to thin to operate in that theatre.

Dr. Carson is enjoying the platform.

Well, Snoopy won’t win, so better get in the game and work toward an alternative now — and get ready to hold your nose in Nov. there’s no such thing as a perfect candidate, and sometimes you just pick the one who will do the least harm.

That’s reality, and sometimes it hurts. And Trumps sister is too old.

“Cruz needs to quit, and his supporters need to switch to Trump.”

Cruz supporters aren’t going to start supporting a pro-abortion, anti-gun, NYC life-long liberal!
