Well Cruz and Christie made the mistake of attacking people on issues. Perhaps they should have engage in dishonest personal attacks like Trump does.
What "issue"? Obama knowing exactly what he's doing as he destroys the US is an issue that bears repeating. The issue that has emerged is Cruz's "do what it takes to win" campaign, that has destroyed the different kind of leader impression of Cruz. Now, the impression is of devious Cruz going after the vulnerable black guy's votes. Don't bother arguing that "it's not true". The shaming ad laid the ground for the impression to gain hold.
