I live in Maine, and have lived here for more than 20 years.
When this lib Cynthia Dill ran for the U.S. Senate, I never heard of her. She came in third in the Senate race. She is a bat$hit crazy moonbat.
I think she is from the Portland, ME area, the area many people in Maine call “North Massachusetts.”
That being said, when Constitutional Carry became law here in Maine last year, it passed the Maine House first. The Maine House is controlled by democrats, and a number of them voted for Constitutional Carry. It passed the GOP controlled Maine Senate, was signed into law in July 2015, and took effect last October. The same bill made switch blades legal.

I have a passcode for my guns. It’s on my safe. Maybe the author needs a passcode for her 1st amendment rights
