If Romney had Trumps numbers, Rove would be declaring him the presumptive nominee!
Heck, I think Trump is actually doing better than Romney at this point.
Trump won in libertarian country where I gather he would be strong and he placed second in a state that never picks nominees and did that without a ground effort. He won by double digits in a state that Gingrich won, a more southern conservative venue. He likely will do well in the Northeast regardless. I think Rove is reading the wish leaves rather than the tea leaves.
I chuckle at the folks here who hate Rove, when back in 2004 he was “A magnificent bastard.”
