Sunday, February 21, 2016: GOP Presidential candidate Donald Trump will hold a campaign rally in Atlanta, GA at the Georgia World Congress Center. The event is scheduled to begin at 4:00 PM EST.

I live in LaGrange,GA only 52 miles from the area. I have tickets to attend, but I'm told already that lines are forming for the 4:00pm event.

In our local mall there is a mural size black and white photograph of John Kennedy in a convertible, riding through downtown LaGrange in October 10, 1960 for a campaign stop. At the time, there were roughly 23,000 people living here.

From here they drove to The Little White House, FDR's vaction home, in Warm Spring's, GA where he gave another speech.

Our airport is now bigger, and we have a tad more people, almost 35,000. So, I'll probably skip the Atlanta function today, unless I can hire a "place holder," and instead send an invite, via this posting to the Trump Team to consider LaGrange, GA for a campaign stop, on the way to Fort Benning, in Columbus. If it was good enough for Jack in 1960, it should be good enough for Donald in 2015.

IF ANYONE HAS ANY IN ROADS TO THE TRUMP CAMPAIGN PLEASE LINK THIS NEW THREAD TO THEM. I THANK YOU.

” Last poll I saw from TX had Cruz leading by only 4 points. There could be the start of a bandwagon effect.”

I believe Cruz has his heart in the right place but he’s just not going to win over the hearts of the nation. ESP with that campaign crew he has now. No way. If he’s not careful he will do irreparable damage to his reputation. Too bad because I think Cruz has a lot to offer America,, but would like to see a different form of delivery.

“I believe Beck is fasting now - I assumed that meant not eating, but it could also mean not speaking. That might help Cruz.”

Oh there’s a new idea,,how about Beck take out a vow of silence? That works for me.

It's been fairly typical having Trump start 30-45 minutes late. I think a lot of it has to do with getting everybody inside and seated due to the large venues.

Trump needs a warm-up act!

Delegates are entrenched in the establishment.

After the first vote, they are released and will revert to their RINO nature, and vote for an establishment RINO.

“Can democrats in Texas choose a republican ballot?”

YES. Texas is an open ballot state, which means even if you are registered as a Democrat or an Independent, you can show up at the primary election, change your party affiliation and then vote for that party.

But you MUST be a registered voter, which you can do through the Texas Secretary of State’s website.

it is one of his daughters. If you saw his “victory” speech in SC, they really didn’t look like they wanted to be there, again!

I think Trump has a decent shot at winning Texas. Another Freeper pointed out something interesting last night. In 2012, Mitt Romney got a higher percentage of the vote than Ted Cruz in his senate race. I found that rather interesting.

I'm a trumpbot or trumpster or trumpet who apparently is so stupid I can't see Trump's flaws and now I'm part of a cult.

Typical Alinsky tactics.

While we are waiting, does anybody remember Trump saying that he would be making a major announcement this coming week regarding a "team" he is putting together?

I wonder if he has some big announcements planned this week to build momentum into Super Tuesday.

-- I believe Texas is proportional if no one gets over 50% --

It is, and like SC, is also proportional based on winning congressional districts.

Texas Republican Delegation 2016

108 district delegates for 36 congressional districts. 50% gets all 3, 20% gets 2 from each district.

47 at large delegates for the state as a whole. 50% gets all of them, 20% entitles one to a proportional share.

I think Trump, Cruz and Rubio each get some share of the delegates from Texas.

...Texas nos can’t stand Ted and wonder HOW they ever fell for him in the first place..."

No doubt, Sarah Palin's endorsement & campaigning for him helped immensely.

I'd love to see Sarah campaign with Trump and state she too was fooled by CanuckTed.

I heard the space he booked (largest available at this venue) fits 10,000 people. But over 50,000 people are expected to converge on the site (Georgia World Congress Center).
