I miss her terribly. I had her almost fourteen years. When young she would fly with me.

It is heartbreaking to lose a beloved pet...I have sworn never to have another because of the pain. Time passes and another comes along that needs me...and I am exposed again to joy of a companion and the inevitable pain of loss.

Kind and well meaning friends have given me names of BC breeders. I told them I need some time.

When Liza arrived from the Philippines, Bubba immediately took to her ... Bubba was a mixed black Lab of about 7 or 8 years
He was like a service dog to her ... always trotting by her side and when she was on the riding mower, he'd sit up proud, like BALTO, watching over her

The morning he was killed by a car, Liza penned a beautiful and insightful tribute to him that pretty much spoke of her love for him and their relationship together

I believe THAT testimony helped to relieve her pain and she was able to move on so quickly and smoothly

We replaced him with a pure bred black Lab and gave him the same name, Bubba .... and we are now like all the old people I used to think were insane ... refering to our son, Bubba.

Our DQ is right across the street from my office - it is so hard to do the right thing and avoid their yummy soft serve treats...

Thank you. Many heartfelt posts from animal lovers. My girl would freak out if she couldn’t find me and when I returned from a flight after a couple of days she’d be running around me in circles. Right now I’m just numb although I expected her failing for a few weeks before I had to take her to the vet; incontinent, no appetite, wouldn’t drink water.
