“Dos Equis is an ok beer, but it’s sad that a beer company would have a spokesman that doesn’t seem to care that much about beer. Can’t really see any of the craft brewers having that attitude, if they did they would never succeed.”
“Schaefer is the one beer to have when you’re having more than one.”

Interesting factoid: Jonathan Goldsmith (under the stage name Jonathan Lippe) appeared in the original Star Trek series (”The Corbomite Maneuver”) as an unnamed Redshirt. And he SURVIVED THE EPISODE!
Regards,
Methinks I recall that the most interesting dude came out as a big Obola supporter last election. Could it be that the Obola curse strikes again?
Wait....being in a beer commercial makes you a âstarâ?
Yes, a “star” of a beer commercial.
I suspect his agent didn’t do crap for him and he got the Dos Equis gig through different channels so now the agent wants to swoop in and be paid like he did all the work.
What’s interesting is the campaign itself is what sold the beer. They could have stuck almost anyone’s face on the ads and have him deliver one line. well, maybe not Bruce Jenner.
He’s never been a star, but Goldsmith acted as “Jonathan Lippe” and had bit parts in numerous series in the 60s & 70s and probably beyond. He’s a typical Hollywood uber-liberal.
Also, if you’ll notice in his beer commercials with all the gorgeous supermodels he’s almost always shown sitting down since, at about 5’5”, The Most Interesting Man In The World is usually dwarfed by the actresses.
