The Republican Establishment Needs to Stop Worrying and Love the Donald
PJ Media - Diary of a Mad Voter ^ | 2/23/16 | Roger L. Simon

Now that Donald Trump has wiped the floor yet again with the other Republican candidates in the Nevada caucuses, it's time for the GOP to face reality -- barring force majeure, they have a presidential candidate, like it or not.

The so-called establishment has a choice: Get on the Trump bandwagon or try some desperate maneuver to stop him. But what would that be? A Rubio-Cruz ticket, assuming they would do it? At the time of this writing, the two men added together don't equal the Trump vote in Nevada -- and that's even assuming their voters would hold, which is a risky assumption, given the current momentum. I mean -- Donald won 46% of the Hispanics! Enough already.

No, that’s just campaigning. You need to look at the things he said and did before he was campaigning for your vote.

So why the change? I've yet to hear a credible explanation.

A Cruz RUBEio ticket would wipe the anti-establishment meme and if either had a chance to catch Trump that would end right there.

I agree with you except I believe Cruz would have a tougher time prevailing in the General because there are a lot of "conservatives" who think he's "too conservative".

At any rate, I'll vote for whoever our last man standing happens to be and I believe that it will be Trump, but would be perfectly happy with Cruz and be praying my butt off that he attains the WH.

Proverbially, there is still plenty of time to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

And we have just the folks here to help make that happen.

Anti-Trump are running on fear. They fear Trump won't do the things he promise he will do. What if he will? Will you still be afraid?

I guess I fall into this category, but I'm not afraid he won't do the things he promises to get the nomination. I "fear" (if you want to call it that) he will do the things he openly stated that he wanted before he started seeking the nomination. You know, the things he really thought before he needed to pander to get someone on the conservative side to vote for him.
