Months ago, I posted info from the Florida Workforce Commission. Mr Trump posted jobs for Florida workers, starting at $9.00 an hour. No takers.
“But if anyone brings it up, he’ll threated to sue - or punch them in the face - or say they’re ugly - or say they’re lying - or say they’re a baby - or call them a loser”
Not necessarily. Calm down.
years ago I lived in WEST Palm Beach (the Palm Beach ghetto across the bridge so to speak)..Had a talented friend that interviewed for a few jobs in PB with out much success...unfazed..the next time he interviewed he put on an Australian accent and said he’d moved here from Australia... He was hired immediately!...Come to your own conclusions about the “rich and Famous”....I have..they like novelty
“Someone should bring this up in the debate and Trump should speak to it then, if not before.”
Trump will just call em a liar, and whatever other insult comes to the top of his mind. then he’ll start spouting one of his slogans. And his supporters will cheer.
It’s a safe bet that foreign workers aren’t covered with tattoos, nose rings, tongue studs, and those hideous things that are jammed through the earlobes.
Iâm an employer in Minnesota. I could increase my business if I had a reliable supply of workers, which I donât. Trying to hire laborers and general help is very difficult these days. Many people donât want to work. And why would they work when they can make a good living off handouts? The gimmedat generation is destroying many American industries.
Thank you. Now we are hearing from an American who is actually out there trying to create jobs.
My brother in laaw is in the hotel business in North Dakota. Hired help has always been a problem and while he will hire local American workers gladly, the workers make it difficult. They get hired and then don’t show up after the first pay check; the Sheriff is waiting for them one evening after work; they won’t do the job for which they are hired. He, along with every other employer in the tourist industry in the area, hire summer or seasonal employees from Eastern Europe and South America in order to stay in business, but they are not shutting out American workers that want to work.
Been there, done that too.
Since 2010, nearly 300 United States residents have applied or been referred for jobs as waiters, waitresses, cooks and housekeepers there. But according to federal records, only 17 have been hired.
Key words, referred for jobs... Like coming out of the unemployment office, required to maintain the free money express, they need to “try” to get a job. Not like they want one. Plus this attitude from placement personnel who think these jobs require ZERO skill is laughable if not sad. Many don’t want to work and it’s reflected in the performance and attitude. Not IMO, but in my experiences. So, there is that!
I guess we've made a little progress though since the NYT made reference to "illegal immigrants" instead of "undocumented workers".
What happened to the Cuz = H1b visa megaposters?
Bingo. This is just more commie ‘RAT desperation. They’re scared.
Do as trump says not as he does.
He is Elite and better than you.
You mean he’s a jerk for applying for visas so they can come in and work LEGally? Just like he’s been talking about at his rallys??? Wow...what an a-hole for trying to do things LEgally!
Surprise surprise surprise
When we owned a small construction company, applicants were often heavily sought by the law, had obvious drug or alcohol problems, expected not to be asked to give a days work or expected CEO wages. Few were willing to take a job, demonstrate capability and willingness to show up on time and accept raises based on merit.
It is very difficult to run a company when welfare benefits or disability benefits are so easily obtained. If people were required to work, the situation would reverse swiftly.
It would be interesting to know how many of those 300 applicants were heavily tattooed with multiple body piercing and bad attitudes.
The NY Times is doing the GOPe a favor - these sound like planted stories. The NYTimes is very much in bed with the establishment of both parties.
I point out again - his clothing line is not made in USA. Can you say China and Mexico?
Same here. Our development has a pool and we have found that it is impossible to get lifeguards and managers who actually want to work by hiring locally. What we wound up with are employees who don't show up, show up late, don't enforce the rules, let their friends in, use profanity, and don't bother cleaning the place up. They just don't seem to care very much about the job. Then, about four years ago we hired a management company which brings East Europeans over for the summer, and everything changed. They enforce the rules strictly, are unfailingly polite, show up every day on time, and are enthusiastic about the job. I imagine Trump ran into exactly the same problem hiring service attendants for his Palm Beach club.
