With only days to go until voters head to the polls for the âSEC Primary,â the new WABE 90.1 Georgia Primary Poll finds Donald Trump with a sizable lead over his GOP rivals.
The poll of 400 likely Republican voters shows 41.25 percent supporting Trump. Senators Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz were locked in a tight battle for second place with 18.25 percent and 15.25 percent respectively. Ben Carson and Gov. John Kasich were further back, each with just over 7 percent of the vote.

Oh wow, this is major because some of the “conservative Media” in GA is busy pimping the notion that Cruz/Rubio voters should vote for whom ever leads in the polls to “Stop Trump at all costs”. Seems even that last ditch desperation strategy would fail here.
This was supposed to be Ted Cruz country. The south was supposed to be his.
The Atlanta wing of the State party has been busy pushing Rubio but the State GOPe as a whole is not pushing hard against Cruz or Trump. There are too many supporters away from Atlanta.
I notice that this an Internet poll, but even still it’s good news for Trump. I think Ted Cruz is going to spend a lot of his time in Texas to avoid the humiliation of losing his home state. That gives Trump a leg up in the other SEC states.
Lots of folks in Coastal Georgia are saying “Trump” as well.
Like my bumper sticker!
I try to avoid giving that guy any attention by using his name. The sooner he wanders off to the irrelevancy corner the better.
GA has been all in for Trump from the get go.
Trump It!
But but...Trump has a ceiling of only 30-35%....Rubio & Jeb & Cruz have told us this repeatedly. What is GOING ON HERE!!!!
When he hits 50% I expect the GOPe/MSM to continue to claim he is “under performing”.
More good news..
Mark Levin is on suicide watch, Beck is starving himself to death and Cruz thinks we are all going to Hell for not supporting him.
Things are sure looking up. ;>)
“This was supposed to be Ted Cruz country. The south was supposed to be his.”
Yes, it looks like he has went back to Texas to try and save it which he might do. However I think the Texas delegates will be split up between Ted, Donald and Marco.
By the way we are seeing Trump with 40% or higher in more and more states. Ted seems to be slipping in these states. Also it looks like Jebs votes have been split between Trump and Rubio. If Ted is getting any they are very few.
I have not committed myself totally to Trump. But, the time will be here, and I believe it will be after super tuesday, that the candidate will be secured.
After that, if it is Trump, I wonder if they will all back him. I doubt it. Then we will see if the GOP as a party survives. I doubt that also.
He’s so popular he doesn’t even need to campaign there, right?
Most all his events seem to be in Texas...
Well, right about now, or soon after super tuesday, you will see the switch to a more general campaign mode. If he takes the super tuesday majority that is, and it looks as if he will.
If I were him, I would make a stop in GA just to thank them for support.
I thought he had a real good chance of losing in Carolina. Was really surprised at how he did. That one really took the wind out of the sails out of the others.
