Read the book "
Boyd". If Col John Boyd and Pierre Sprey would have had their way, the F-16 would have beat any fighter worldwide in a turning fight. But the Air Force always bolts on gold-plated crap, and slowed it down. It's amazing it's as good as it is.

Ditto. And it cannot pack BVR missiles except outside of the internal bays, thus destroying its limited stealth.
