I really dislike McConnell, but (in his defense) his job is to preserve his majority in the Senate. There are probably states that Trump (as the nominee) would not win in any case. For a GOP Senate candidate to embrace Trump in those states might be political suicide. So, from that perspective, I can understand what he is saying.

I’m sure Harry Reid is saying the same thing when it comes to Hilary. Even after she gets indicted. Mitch is a little, little man.

Quit being the voice of reason. Much better to have those GOP Senators lose their seats than for them to not back Trump in states he wouldn't win anyway.

Democrats have been doing that crap forever, and successfully. They'll let vulnerable members up for reelection take politically expedient positions to save their seats.

We, on the other hand, apparently would rather lose a Senate majority.

Maybe we really are the stupid party.

Or, it might be that McConnell (R-???) has become quite used to those years and years of earmarks going to KY ....?

When he became Reid's lackey, it was all over.

How many years did the Senate operate without passing a budget?
