His supporters never show any intellectual curiosity to when it comes to Trump’s words. They accept what he says, or, if it seems he’s getting squishy to them, they just create in their minds what they think he meant.
The sad part is these are the people who will be the most upset when they find that the man they elected isn’t anywhere near the same man they thought they elected. I’m tired of Republicans running as conservatives but governing as liberals. But what makes them believe Trump will be any different since he’s been all over the place on issues both past and present.
And being hard to pin down on any issue, it’s allowed his supporters to create the perfect candidate

Cruz supporters never bother to ask “How is he planning on doing anything he promised”.
Just posts about how principled and consistent he is over and over again.....while they demand that Trump detail everything and every step of the way.
